We have a show filled with great Bluegrass music as we celebrate birthdays for Carl Story, Jerry Douglas, Rob Ickes, Tom T. AND Dixie Hall and Woody Platt. Plus we'll feature songs of remembrance celebrating Memorial Day for this holiday weekend. Climb aboard the train! GATM airs on Saturdays with hosts Joe Greene and Todd Baldwin - 11am 'til 7pm.

In this show we play some heavy hitting favorites, with western NC’s Steep Canyon Rangers showing up in the playlist, and a new and decidedly different approach from The Decemberists, plus one of our favorite Americana bands from Brooklyn, with a new single from Yarn. We’ll also get to some nifty jazz and violin tunes as well as feature an up and coming old time band from the high country here in the old north state.

Woody Platt, Graham Sharp, and Mike Ashworth of the Steep Canyon Rangers visited with Scotty on the air this past week during New Tunes at Two.  We featured their new album 'Out in the Open' and they also performed a live tune.  They perform this Saturday, January 27 at the ExploreAsheville.com Arena in Asheville, NC.

From Earl Scruggs to Steep Canyon Rangers, North Carolina has laid claim to the top talents in blistering bluegrass music.
