WNCW's Music Mix with Joe Kendrick

Mondays and Fridays at noon

Joe Kendrick mixes a unique blend of Americana, blues, roots, jazz, Celtic, world music and more (waaaaaay more) to spice your lunch hour and keep your afternoon jumping! If WNCW gave out superlatives, Joe would likely be voted "Most likely to play Yo La Tengo and Raymond Scott in the same set". Special features include New Tunes at 2 (spotlighting a new album with 3 songs in the mix, which happens Mondays through Thursdays in the 2 o'clock hour) as well as live performances from WNCW's world-famous Studio B.

(These CD's are available online or call 1-800-245-8870 during Fund Drive hours)

Chuck Lichtenberger Live Friday, March 30th at 1pm

Mar 26, 2018

Pianist, composer, and teacher Chuck Lichtenberger elevated Asheville's music scene to a higher level thanks to his 15 year run as in integral part of Stephanie's Id. He has now embarked on a solo career that threads together rock, jazz, pop, and hip-hop, and his latest material takes on the challenging topics of childhood trauma, anxiety, and mental illness -- issues he'll admit he is all too familiar with. We salute the many brave artists who are addressing these issues more openly lately, and we welcome Chuck and his band back to Studio B on Friday afternoon with Joe Kendrick.
