Dead Air

Wednesdays at 9pm to midnight

Dead Air began in 1996 on WNCW.  The show celebrates the love of music, people, The Grateful Dead and everything the band has inspired since their formation in 1965.  Before Dead Air, The GD Hour was it.  You would get one hour per week of HQ Grateful Dead and that was it.... for anywhere on the radio.  So in 1996, then-Programming Director Dan Reed, dedicated a bigger chunk of the night to The Grateful Dead and Something for your head.  The show's first host Uncle Dave brought us plenty of GD with Phish, Widespread Panic, Dylan, Allman Brothers, Black Crowes, Moe.....and more.  "It's Music-for-Long-Attention Spans."  Trent Henley took over the show in 2015 and continues the show in the spirit of  what we all love about this music.  The show follows GD Radio Hour with David Gans which runs from 8:00 to 9:00.  So tune in for Dead Air every Wednesday Night @ 9pm as part of your Wednesday Night Jar –o- Jam!!!!!
