A great new band on the scene, Hooray For the Riff Raff actually hit the ground running in 2012, and is actually the work of Alynda Lee Sagarra. She grew up in NYC listening to punk, and settled in New Orleans, picking up a banjo in North Carolina on the way. That diverse musical background, and some of the topics covered in her songwriting ("Levon's Dream", "Small Town Heroes", and a sweet tribute to Maybelle Carter in "Blue Ridge Mountains"), make this a natural fit for us at WNCW.
