Granted, a lot of us here at WNCW already have a soft spot for the innovative sounds of the late 1960's music renaissance -- the tight harmonies of the Beach Boys or CSN, the swirling keyboards of the Doors, the jangly, fuzzy guitars of pretty much all the great acts from then.... But the young band of L.A. surfers that make up the Allah-La's are exceptionally good at both recreating this sound, and adding further innovation and originality to it. Check out their latest, Worship the Sun, on Thursday night. It'll be the perfect follow-up to Kim Clark's 8-9pm hour of flashbacks. Dig?
