Though he is a singer/songwriter and a wonderful guitar luthier, Guy Clark might best be compared to a wood carver, the way he whittles the lyrics of his songs down to the bare essentials of what is needed to tell the story with the most detail and clarity possible. The West Texas artist is certainly one of WNCW's favorites, and his brand new release, in large part a moving tribute to his late wife, is getting terrific accolades from all corners of the Americana world.
