"We'll get into some authentic Mississippi hill country blues with the Cedric Burnside Project in a session from the summer of 2015. Cedric began playing drums at age 13 behind his grandfather RL Burnside," said Rewind Host Kim Clark. "He and his childhood friend guitarist Trenton Ayers were touring in support of the album Descendants of Hill Country when they stopped by to play live for us at WNCW. We'll also feature a 2006 interview and performance by one of our favorite singer songwriters, Slaid Cleaves."
