Morning Edition on Tuesday, July 17th at 8:50AM: A MEMORIAL IN MOSAIC BY MARC ARCHAMBAULT

When Asheville-based dry stone mason and artist Marc Archambault was approached to do a memorial for a well known local doctor, hiker and scout leader, he agreed. Gwenda Ledbetter contacted Archambault to construct a cairn in honor of her husband, John Winslow Ledetter.  But after seeing the site and further discussion, the two decided to go another way. Pam Bunch talks to Archambault about the memorial mosaic and how it made him feel to do such a personal piece.
