For the first time ever, Asheville's City Council has come up with a plan to improve the city's food security. The Asheville-Buncombe Food Policy Council has been working for a year to devise a plan to make sure that all children and adults in the city have access to food whenever they need it.
Asheville City Council member Gordon Smith has been working hard, along with hundreds of others, to make sure that not only is everyone fed, but that the food is good, healthy food that will be affordable to all and will help to reduce the number of children and adults who are diagnosed with diabetes and other illnesses that go along with eating fast foods or inexpensive processed food.
Tune in to find out how you can become a part of this process.
