Who doesn't like good food and the good wines that go with it? Pairing regional food with the best wines has been a tradition as far back as the Greeks and Romans, and long before that. The 5th Annual Asheville Wine and Food Festival takes place beginning on Thursday, August 22nd and running through Saturday, August 24th with the GRAND TASTING at the U.S.Cellular Center at 87 Haywood Street in Asheville.
Bob Bowles is overseeing this year's event and tells me there will be an incredible amount of things to do and to taste from mixologists doing their best to impress on Thursday evening at The Venue, to a decandent evening of sweets and dessert treats on Friday at the Grove Arcade. But those events are just the lead up to Saturday's BIG event where there will be the best of foods, wines and sweets, plus so much more all together in one place.
