Morning Edition 12/10: THE 7TH ANNUAL HOMECOMING JOB FAIR

Interview about the Homecoming Job Fair in January in Asheville.

Everybody wants and needs a job, there's no question about that. But it might surprise you to find out that there are many businesses out there that also need workers. For WNCW, I'm Pam Bunch.
The Economic Development Coalition is going to do its best to get the employers and the employees together at the 7th Annual Homecoming Job Fair.  The event is going to be held on January 3rd, 2013.    This year Tim Lampkin is coordinating the job fair (not an easy task), and says last year there were over 85 employers and over 3,000 people looking to be hired.    Folks come in from all over Western North Carolina to meet with and sell themselves as a good employer or employee.    Job seekers don't have to register in advance, but businesses do - by December 21st.   It all takes place at Biltmore Square. So freshen up your resume, look your best and brightest, and come prepared to give your all.   The 7th Annual Homecoming Fair on January 3, 2013 from 10 am to 3 pm at Biltmore Square. www.HomecomingJobFair..com                                www.AshevilleChamber.org
