In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, WNCW's More To The Story gave WNCW the chance to interview Asheville Citizen-Times Reporter Karen Chavez about this serious topic. Karen not only shared details about her stories on Breast Cancer fighters/survivors in the Asheville area and its risk factors, but she opened up about her own battle fighting the disease.
