Monday Night the 8th at 8pm: THE FACES - Ooh La La

We were saddened to hear of the passing of not one but two legendary rock icons this past week, saxophonist Bobby Keys on the 2nd, and keyboardist Ian McLagan on the 3rd. Both were sought-after session musicians for various stars, most notably the Rolling Stones in the 70's and 80's. This Monday, we'll celebrate the life of "Mac" with the final album of The Faces, from 1973. After frontman Steve Marriott left the Small Faces in 1969, McLagan, Ronnie Lane and co. recruited Ron Wood for guitar, and a young (but already ascending to stardom) Rod Stewart to sing lead. Notorious for their rough and rowdy rock party style on tour, the band had the party vibe on this and their other three studio albums, too. Mac shares songwriting credits on songs 2, 4, 5, and 6.
