One of our favorite annual traditions here at WNCW is breaking out this 1965 classic for The Spindale Cycle on the Monday night before Christmas. Listening to "Christmas Time Is Here" from Linus, Lucy, Schroeder, and the rest of the Peanuts gang is all it takes to get you into the Holiday spirit if you're not already. But aside from the holiday theme, it's just some really cool jazz from one of its heydays. Guaraldi's adventurous piano improvisations and arrangements are nothing short of delightful. Pour yourself a glass of something comforting, get your present-wrapping supplies out, keep the kids up a little late...whatever tradition you like to do around this time of year, we hope you include this one of ours as well.
