Monday Night the 22nd at 8pm -- BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN: The Wild, The Innocent & the E Street Shuffle

Springsteen released two classic albums in 1973, Greetings From Asbury Park, NJ (his debut), and this 5-star LP of seven songs that stand the test of time.  Multi-instrumentalist David Sancious (who lived on E. Street, hence the band's name) spearheaded this session that was rounded out by Clarence Clemons, Danny Federici, Vini Lopez, and the rest of the band.  As others have said, The Boss would later make different albums, but he never made a better one.

FYI, there's a new tribute to his album Born in the U.S.A. out, called Dead Man's Town, featuring a lot of our favorite WNCW artists including Jason Isbell, Justin Townes Earle, Trampled By Turtles, and the North Mississippi Allstars.  Happy birthday, Bruce!
