JEANNE ROBERTSON WILL HEADLINE AT RUTHERFORD REGIONAL HEALTH FOUNDATION'S ANNUAL 'WOMEN TOGETHER' EVENT
This year's 'Women Together' event is a unique and funny fund-raising event put together by women, showcasing women and benefiting women. Jill Miracle, executive director of the Regional Health Foundation, says, "Each year, Rutherford Regional Health Foundation strives to offer a unique event for the enjoyment of our women..."
"Women Together" takes place on February 2, at the Foundation Performing Arts Center on the Spindale campus of Isothermal Community College, and will featuring an art exhibit by Lilly Oncology on Canvas. There will be works by Statesville Stained Glass.
But the headliner will be Jeanne Robertson, a former Miss North Carolina and author of three books on humor, who can be heard daily on on Radio's Laugh USA.
The proceeds from the event will help to fund 2 major projects for this year: To provide mammograms for medically uninsured women and to sustain Rutherford Regional's Cancer Navigator Program.
