Oklahoma's Parker Millsap received a nomination last year from the Americana Music Association for Emerging Artist of the Year, as well as praise from NPR, American Songwriter, The Wall Street Journal, and elsewhere. He plays Asheville Wednesday night, and Charlotte on Thursday.
