Nora Jane Struthers discovered a love for American roots music in part thanks to her father taking her to Galax and Mt. Airy Fiddlers Conventions when she was younger. She blends a variety of styles together, including her literary background, in her original material. She and her dynamic band impressed a lot of Merlefesters this Spring, and they're working on a new album this month for July release. She'll visit with us Monday morning following a Sunday evening concert in Saluda, and comes back around to Knoxville on the 16th. And if you're a fan of vintage clothing, don't turn down an invitation to a clothing swap should she be there.
