If the soul of Americana music lies somewhere near the crossroads of Texas, Mississippi, and Tennessee, then it should be no surprise that Bonnie Bishop embodies that sound pretty well. Her 6th album (Ain't Who I Was, produced by Grammy-winner Dave Cobb) is introducing her to a much larger audience, as is Bonnie Raitt, who has covered Bishop songs on her recent releases. Bonnie stops by Studio B for a live session Thursday afternoon (Bishop, that is), and plays The Evening Muse in Charlotte Friday night.
