Morning Edition on 9/13: WALLACE: THE UNDERDOG WHO CONQUERED A SPORT, SAVED A MARRIAGE AND....

Unfortunately, that's the reaction most people have when they see or even hear about a pit bull.  Fortunately for Wallace not everyone feels that way, like author Jim Gorant, who heard about Wallace and just had to write his story.

Morning Edition on Aug. 6: WOFFORD STUDENTS MAKE SIGNIFICANT FIND ON ARCHEOLOGICAL DIG IN HOLY LAND

Wollord College Graduate James Ballard holds one of the jugs he found during an archeological dig.

The idea of being present at the uncovering of historical artifacts has always sounded so thrilling to me.  So when I heard that a group of Wofford College students recently went on a dig near Galilee and were able to make a significant find, I had to contact them. Listen on Monday when I speak with James Ballard, one of the members of the trip.  We will talk about the process, what they found, what it means and what's next.
