Monday Night April 28th at 8pm: ACOUSTIC SYNDICATE

OK so we usually feature an album that's at least 20 years old for the Spindale Cycle, but the Syndicate has remained one of WNCW's favorite bands since they released this debut back in '96.  The McMurry boys -- brothers Bryon and Fitz and their cousin Steve -- grew up working the family farm in Cleveland County they are still a part of, and had been pickin' as a band for about 5 years when they recorded this with Doug Rogers on bass (Jay Sanders hadn't yet joined them) and Sam Bush on fiddle for a couple tunes.  Steve "Little King" Metcalf heard them while running his famous Green Acres Music Hall shows nearby, and proceeded to record their first four albums.  Raise a glass to the Little King for his birthday Monday the 28th!
